16 Week Check-Up

Today was my 16 week check-up at the Doctor's office. Pretty exciting appointment if I do say so myself!

First, we were finally able to hear the baby's heartbeat. It's in the high 150s... for you superstitious people out there who believe the old wives tales... this would point to the direction that the baby could be a girl. We shall see!

Speaking of finding out boy or girl, I was able to get my 20 week ultrasound set up today. The countdown is officially on for December 7th at 3:30 p.m. I'm adding a countdown ticker to the right side of the blog for all of you who want to keep track. ;o) Look for this ticker below over on the right side of the page. So happy we have less than 30 days till the appointment! Then I can REALLY start planning!

I'll leave you with a funny, but cute picture of John and Lynsie Jean... Haha!

Birthday Extravaganza!

Saturday was Lynsie Jean's 2nd birthday and she partied it up.... well about 1-1/2 hours into the party she did anyway. It took her a little time to warm up to the crowd that was there to celebrate with her, but once she did she didn't want to stop playing. Goofy kid!

Thank you everyone who came out for it, we had such a good time and I hope you did too! I think I'm still on sugar-overload from that fabulous cake. I know many asked who made that cake and it was Chantiell who owns All Around Cakes. Check out her site, she does fabulous work! Very talented!!

Here are a few pictures from Lynsie's day... enjoy!

Man drives through bank - except there's no drive-thru

Sure glad I have direct deposit!! I do have a couple checks to cash, but it doesn't look like I'll be doing that here in the next few days.

Just a Preview....

Here is a preview of the little miss all dressed up for Halloween Costume Day at day care. Everyone, please ONLY refer to this as a "Princess" Ladybug Costume. Otherwise, she is NOT happy with it. HA! We're in a bit of a "Princess" phase right now. Ack! If this had happened prior to me planning a Ladybug party and cake, we would have went in the princess direction but of course this occurred within the past week. HAHA! Little stinker!

A few more pictures to share...

Hey everyone!

Thought I'd do a small update today because I was able to get digital copies of the ultrasound pics today. He even included an extra that I didn't get a printout of. Here it is:

Finally, thought I'd share a couple pictures of Lynsie recently at daycare courtesy of Miss Tashie. :o)

The pool is still closed as of today, so lessons may be cancelled again tomorrow. I will let everyone know when I find out. That's all for now!

Another Ultrasound... Yay!

10-21 - Updated with clearer pictures!

I had another ultrasound this afternoon. This one is to test for birth defects such as Down syndrome, heart defects, etc. I didn't get this one with Lynsie, but this type of testing is MUCH more accurate then the simple blood test they gave me during that pregnancy. This one can give up to a 95% accuracy rate for down syndrome, which is WAY better and a less chance of a false-positive.

The ultrasound tech was great, I'm actually planning on requesting he do my 20-week ultrasound as well. So personable and nice, it was a fun experience!

It was really neat to see the baby again and just how much its grown since 6 weeks ago! Wow! Actually looks like a baby now! Ha Ha! Still teeny tiny though... they estimate about 6.72 cm long right now.

Here is Baby Angelo #2... it's a profile picture and it looks like we just might have another thumbsucker on our hands. Haha!

Here is the little baby's foot... it's about 1.14 cm long.... teeny tiny!!

And the funnest part of my visit was after they let me run and go to the bathroom. I came out and the tech said, "So, we have a little extra time... do you want to try doing a 3D ultrasound?" Of course I said "YES!!" He didn't know if we would see anything clearly but he gave it a shot. We came out with the following picture which to me pretty much looks like a baby with its hands up in the face. You can see the hands, arms and tummy... I think the umbilical cord too. Pretty cool huh? As we get further along, like the 20 week ultrasound, if we have time he'll do it again and we'll see much more clearly!
